YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE made it. We will be signing our lives away today. We will be paying our down payment today and sign our closing papers. Then we get the keys tomorrow around 4:00pm and get to move in OUR HOUSE!!!! We have been waiting a long time for this and now we will get to make our memories in our own house! Thank you to everyone who made this possible and stood behind us the whole time.

This kid literally walks outside for two seconds and is covered from head to toe. I have finally learned that when I let him go outside, I just strip his clothes off and let him play in the backyard in his diaper cause this is what happens. I love this little guy, he is so funny and always keeps me on my toes and I never know what he is going to do next!!!

The stone is up!!!! We decided to go for a drive Saturday night and we drove past our house thinking nothing would have been done cause it was a Saturday but as we drove up we saw that they put up our stone. We were so thrilled and can't believe it is getting closer and closer. We will meet with our builder this Wednesday and walk through the house... YEA!!! I am so happy and I know my parents are too.. ha ha They need there house back. When we move they will be empty nesters and I think they are more thrilled for that then anything. Which they should be cause they deserve it after raising us Barratt kids. We are so thankful for there help and roofing us for months. We love you Mom and Dad so much. Eli and Ezra will for sure have some withdraws but I think they will be ok!!!

Our house, they still need to put the stone on our house, light fixtures, and garage doors.

We are getting closer and closer, as of right now our move in date is two weeks from today. September 23 is our official move in day. We are in the process of closing with our lenders, which has been very stressful. We thought we had everything they needed and they dropped a few more to do thing for us to get done. So we have been pretty stressed out about that, but we have amazing family support. We are so blessed for the people we have in our family and we thank everyone for all there love and support. We can't wait to start making memories with you in our new home!!!!

After We got back from Yellowstone of course we needed to rush to our house to see all the progress that happened and this is what we came home to!!! NICE RIGHT?

We are so stoked!!!! We were so excited to pull up and be able to park in our garage. It was so weird and knowing that in less then a month and half it will be finished. WOW it is amazing what people can do. They got so much done windows put in, doors on, and all the tubs and showers put in. Now they will be doing the Electric and plumbing which they have already started. Were are getting closer and closer!!! YAY:)

My parents took us kids and there grand kids to Yellowstone and Bear World. We had so much fun and it was awesome to be with our family and all the kids. My parents were so excited to have on there grand kids in one cabin but at then end of the week I think they were definitively ready to come home. Six kids can be a bit much some times ha ha. The kids love being with there cousin though and and a lot of fun playing and having a big sleepover every night with each other. Thanks mom and dad for all the fun memories we made!

So at the end of the week our house really started to come together. Matt's mom and family were in town, so we took them to see the house. Which was a really exciting experience for us because we were going to OUR HOUSE!!! So awesome to say that ha ha. It was fun to walk through it with them. We did not have our stairs built at the time so of course all the men climbed up the walls and went to the second floor, which we have a really nice view they could see from our backyard. Thank you for all of you who came out. We can't wait to have you over for dinner one night!!!

So they started framing, Matt and I went out there before he had to go to work. We were so excited to see them actually putting up walls in our house.

So here's the latest on our house in Jordan Willows, finally we are seeing some activity. The footings were poured and the foundation, it self, is being started. It was so different seeing the footings up above the ground for the first time. So cool!!! We went out there this afternoon and there was a really cool lightning storm I think we will get great views of the storms around the valley from our house. Brindy is very excited about this as she loves thunderstorms.
This time we brought our niece and nephew (Jordyn and Mason) to see it with us. Ezra thought it was so cool to see the footings and all the rocks everywhere (Eli loved it too, he tasted many a rock and made sure they were only the finest quality rocks that they are using for our house.) Ezra was so cute, he took his cousins on a tour of "our new house hole." They were climbing all over the dirt piles and making sure those footings were strong and sturdy! It is so great to see the progress, we sure are getting excited!!!

I am officially a working mom aka supermom!!!I got a job with Intermountain Health Care (IHC). My position is called Registrar, I register patients into the ER. Even though it is not medically hands on I see some pretty cool stuff. I am whats called PNR staffing Express. So I get to pick up shifts whenever I want. I don't have a set schedule. Which is really nice cause I can work it out to where Matt or I are home with our boys. They have a lot of benefits there and I am really excited to get to learn all of them (not just insurance) They help pay for schooling so I can finish my RN (Registered Nurse). This week has been tough though cause I have had training everyday from 12:00 to 6:30pm so Matt has had to help out a lot at home with the boys and keeping the house duty chores done.

I never knew men could be so organized when it came to cleaning bottles!

YES! My boys have girl bedding, all our stuff is in storage. Matt made sure Ezra had his two pillow pets and his blanket on his bed all nicely folded.

The Batman pillow helps make it more masculine.

Matt folded Eli's blankets and lined up all of his pacifiers in a row.

I am so lucky to have such an supporting husband and father. I love him so much and I truly have been blessed with such an amazing family. Things are going really well for us right now and we can't wait to get in our HOUSE!!!!

YAY!!!! We finally have a whole dug. For those of you who don't know our house got pushed back 2 weeks cause the permits were not in on time. So we were a little sad cause nothing was done but while we were gone on family vacation. We got a text message from our friend Alex, who sent us a pic of our hole. We were so thrilled and excited that the minute we got home and unpacked we went and checked it out. We also just met with our builder today and he was so nice and he told us that in the next twp weeks. They will have our foundation poured, gas lines in, water leveling done, and the framing getting started. We were so happy to here that so you will all be getting updates as we do.

Alright well most of you may know what happened to Ezra on Friday but those of you who don't know. Ezra was playing in the backyard at my parents house with his cousin Treven and his friend Kasen. They were playing in a plastic pool and we had our little tikes slide in the pool as well.It is only about two feet high, the boys would use it to slide down into the pool. Well Ezra was just going to fast and he fell off the slide and landed on the grass with his hand hitting the ground first. My mom grabbed him and saw his arm and knew it was broken. So my dad and I rushed him to the Doctor's office where they deal with broken arms and even put on cast there. Well they got the X-rays back and the doctor said he broke both bones and that he was going to call in a specialist to fix it. So they sent us to the Emergency Room to meet with the specialist to get it set back into place. They put him in conscious sedation and re-set the arm. Ezra did such an amazing job he was so brave. Matt and I are proud of our boy he was stronger then we ever thought. The doctors would explain every move and asked Ezra if that was ok, and he said "YES" every time. We had such a great experience with the doctors and nurses. They did such an awesome job with Ezra and we are so thankful for them and the services they do. Thank you for all the support, Ezra has so many people in his life that love him and we are so great full for that. Also Alex Johnson thank you so much for coming and supporting us while we went through this with Ezra you made us act calmer and brought laughter. Which we really needed. You are such a great friend to us and Ezra just adores you. Thank you!

I had a photo session on Friday with the Meier Family. We are actually really good friends with this family. Our kids are pretty much the same age and we always hang out with them. It was really fun shooting these pics with them, I have been doing photography for awhile and even to some classes on it. There is just something so fun about it that I just love doing it. So now I am starting a photography business of my own and the Meier family were my first customers.I had such a blast with them. So we finally picked our lot after going back and forth plenty of times. (My Fault, I could not make a decision.) We picked the lot that has the view of the Jordan River in our back yard and farm land. Yes I said farm land, we will have cows and ducks in our backyard. Which we absolutely love the atmosphere our kids are going to love growing up here. We also have the Jordan River Trail that just comes right off our backyard. So when we build a fence they said we can have our own personal gate that will allow us to jump on the trail from our own backyard. We are so excited and Ezra love to come and see where we are going to live all the time. He loves the fact that there will be animals in his backyard and he can see them from his bedroom window. We are so excited we can't wait to actually see them to start building our house.

San Diego Fun

We had lots of fun while we were in San Diego. Specially at the beach we always enjoy every minute we have in the sand and soaking up the rays of sun. We got to go to Coronado Island to Visit Matt's Grandparents. Ezra had such a blast with Great Grandpa Q. They went on an adventure together around the beach. We also went to Del Mar beach to watch the Sunset with Gary and Cheryl. I love watching those two together you can just see the love they have for each other. We are so lucky to have such great loving family.

Sea World

While we were down in San Diego for Brint's wedding. Chery and Gary treated us to Sea World and it was a blast. I forgot how awesome Sea World was, the shows were amazing and also funny. Ezra loved it and just stuck to Grandpa's side the whole time watching every show together. He loved watching all the animals, Matt and I caught ourselves just watching our boys's face expressions. They just had a blast as did all of us. The cost to get in I guess is the same price as a Sea World season pass if you are a resident so Chery got us passes for the year. She sure does know how to get us to come back down to visit. I am already planning another trip down there with my boys. Thank you so much Cheryl and Gary we had a blast at Sea World and it is all because of you two. We love you so much!!!

So my sister-in-law Bree got married in the San Diego temple on April 30th. It was such a beautiful day for her and Clint. We are so happy to have a new addition to our family. Matt is really stoked he kept saying "I can't believe I have another brother, this is so awesome." We gave Bree and Clint a celebrity name: Brint. So now we are talking about them we only have to say Brint instead of Bree and Clint. We are so happy for you Bree and Clint. You two sure do know how to throw a party. Seriously the best wedding I have ever been to. I did not want the dancing to stop. Matt and I wish you and Clint a full and happy life together. We love you two so much!!!

We Found a HOUSE

We finally found a house, well it is a new build. We will be building a home in Lehi with the Fieldstone homes. We are so excited that we are done with the house shopping. We went and looked at so many houses with our wonderful Realtor Marie Sharon. She took us to so many beautiful homes and we also saw some that we all just walked in and then walked straight out.(ha ha) We just found that we would like some things with a house and then there were somethings that we really didn't like. So when we found these new builds that were in the same price range as the houses we were looking at we just decided to go with the new build. We just like the idea of be able to pick everything inside the house from the flooring, cabinets, and pretty much everything and we also like the idea of being the first ones in the house. So we are really excited for this new adventure in our lives. We know we will make it to San Diego one day but as for now Utah is where we are supposed to be. So we really appreciate all the support from everyone. We love you all so much. We will post up all our updates with the house so you can follow along with us.

WOW! We had such a fun Halloween this year. We had a Halloween party the night before Halloween and it was so much fun. We played Halloween surviver, where we had to play 10 different games. We played one game where we tied balloons do our ankles and we had to keep our from getting popped. Well there was me and one guy left and I went to go stomp on his balloon and I kicked him right in the shin. It hurt so bad that I ended up going to urgent care and I ended up breaking my toe. Ha Ha Ha no joke but what makes it all worth it is we won Halloween Surviver and Eli won best costume. On Halloween it pretty much rained all day so when we took Ezra Trick-Or-Treating it rained on us. So we only went to a few houses but he didn't mind, he had funnier answering the door and seeing all the costumes. We had such a fun Halloween and we hope all of you did too.

DISNEYLAND

So we made another trip to California in October. Of course we had to make a Disneyland trip. This time we took just Ezra, so he could have his day to just himself and choose everything he wanted to do. Oh boy was it fun. Matt and I felt like a kid again, just running around with Ezra and watching him get so excited about everything. He was not even scared of any of the characters. He took his first roller coaster ride, He met Mickey Mouse 3 times, and he had a complete blast. Eli got to stay home with Grandma and Grandpa Q. He had so much fun with being Grandpa's assistant and showing off for Grandma at Tyler's game. Thank you Cheryl and Gary for watching Eli. That ment so much to us to spend time with just Ezra.

So Matt has been really busy at work and school lately. So Ezra has had a rough time getting used to Matt's new schedule cause he has been working nights and does not get home until 11 o'clock on some nights. So Ezra especially misses him a lot on those nights cause his daddy usually tells him bed time stories. Well every night when I get up with Eli I check on Ezra. Well Eli woke up at 4am this morning and I noticed Ezra's door was opened and he was not in his room. So I rushed into our room to go wake up Matt and as I went to Matt side of the bed I saw Ezra laying on the floor on Matt's side of the bed. It was the sweetest thing. He loves his daddy so much! I am so lucky to have such and amazing husband who is just such an outstanding father to my kids.

So Matt has been working a lot lately and has school as well. So the kids and I have not seen him as much as usual and it has been a little hard on Ezra. He will always ask when daddy is coming home to play with him. So on one of the activities Matt was doing with the boys from his work was going to hike the Y. So he invited us to go with him. Well lets just say a 3 year old does not really want to hike a mile long hill and Matt had to keep up with his boys. So Matt went on with his boys and I just told him we will go as far as we can get well Ezra made it like 500 yrds and was already tired but I wanted to keep going. So I put Ezra on my shoulders while I have Eli strapped to the front of me and start hiking the rest of the hike. Oh boy can I tell you that was a work out. Thank goodness Matt saw me about almost half the way up and came down and grabbed Ezra and put him on his shoulder. Then we made him walk the whole way down. It was such a pretty view though and we had so much fun with our daddy and the boys. Eli specially loved it the most, he slept on the way up and laughed and talked the whole way down the mountain. We had such a blast.

Buenos Aires West Mission. He will be leaving June 2 2010 and we could not be anymore excited for him then we are. For those of you who don't know my husband (Ryan's Brother) and Brianne my Sister-In-Law (Ryan's Sister) both went to Argentina. So when they heard the word Argentina they just freaked out with excitement. Ryan we are so proud of you and we really can't wait to hear about all the great spiritual experience you go through. Also to hear about all the people you are going to help. You are going to be such an amazing missionary and can't wait to see all the things you accomplish. We love you and are going to miss you!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! So I know it is a little late posting our Halloween but we have been super busy in this Quackenbush house. So this year we decided to be QUACK-EN-BUSH. So Ezra was a duck and Matt and I were bushes. (LOL) We had an amazing Halloween this year. The weather especially was so mice and warm. Matt and Ezra started the day off with a Halloween breakfast, which was so yummy. Then we went over to Gigi's house in the later afternoon and ate yummy taco soup. Then we headed out on our Halloween adventure. Ezra got the concept down after two houses and then just kept running ahead of us and saying "notha house notha house mor canny." He was so fun to watch, he had us laughing all night. then we took him back home and he just went to town not eating every candy just tasting them all. Then whatever one he liked the most he ate. We all hope you had a fun and safe Halloween, we can't wait until next year.

Yes we actually decided to cut Ezra's hair. Trust me it was not an easy decision, it took a month of debating between Matt and I. SO one night while Matt was working I was hanging out with my best friend Kim and she is a cosmetologist. We were really board so we decided to just trim Ezra's hair but then we got a little excited and just chopped it off. I think he looks so cute we have been hiding his beautiful face for to long. We went to Family Fun Center with some friends and had such a blast. Ezra has never learned how to skate yet so we were so excited to teach him. At first he did not like it was getting mad because he could not stay standing up. After awhile he got a hang of it and it was so cute to watch him skate. He had so much with his friends and loved all the cotton candy, pizza, and ski ball. He could play ski ball all day he loves, it is so much fun to watch him. I can't believe how big he is getting and all the things he can do now.

Movie Night

Ezra loves when we watch movies as a family. So we try and watch a movie and get treats about once a month. We let Ezra pick the movie and he always picks Finding Nemo. He loves that movie so much he knows all the creatures in the movie. The reaso why we only do it once a month is because Matt and I can only handle so much Nemo.

I can't believe my baby boy is 2. He has grown up so much now. We had a swimming birthday party for Ezra. We invited all of his friends and family. So Matt has been wanting to make S'mores for the longest time but every time we went to my parents house to make s'mores in there fire pit, it rained. So finally on mothers day it was such a nice day we were able to make s'mores and we did get messy. It was so much fun though. I love watching Ezra do new things cause he gets so excited.

Adam Lambert

So the same weekend that we went to Jessica's wedding in San Diego. Adam Lambert was going to his High school to perform for American Idol. Matt and Adam went to the same school together. So we decided to go to the Mt. Carmel High and go see Adam perform. While we were waiting Ezra made a new friend, he hung out with her the whole time.He was holding her hand and sitting right next to her, it was so cute. It was so crazy for Matt to see Adam Lambert perform and all the kids just go crazy screaming. Specially the girl who took off her shirt and try to run on stage and tackle him. Going from the lead role of every play in school and now on American Idol becoming a rock star.It was awesome to be a part of it. We wish him the best of luck and we know that he has made it now. We are so sad though that Danny Gokey went home. He was my favorite and I totally thought he was going to win it. I know that will not be the last of him though, can't wait for his album to come out!

Gymnastics

So for those of you who live far away Ezra has been taking a gymnastics class. He loves it so much. We decided that we would take video of it so our family that is not close can see how Ezra is doing in the classes. He was a little grumpy this week but he still enjoyed himself. Easter

We had such a fun Easter. Ezra got to go to two different Easter Egg Hunts. The first one was at a park in American fork. It was fun because they had games and fun activities for the kids to do. Ezra got a Easter bunny tattoo on his arm, he thought that was so cool. Then after the activities they had the hunt. Ezra was in the 0-3 year hunt but it did not seem like that when the horn went off! All the parents ran in there and grabbed all the eggs for the kids. A mother even took and egg from Ezra as he was getting ready to pick it up. So we will never be doing that again. It is kind of sad how competitive parents get for there kids. Ezra was just happy he got some candy. Then after that we drove to my Grandma and Grandpa Caldwells house in Gunnison to have another Easter egg hunt and to eat. Ezra had so much fun with his cousins looking for Easter eggs. He did not have a problem with not finding enough cause my Aunt Shelly and Grandma had over a 100 eggs. Just for the kids it was so awesome cause Grandma Caldwell has a lot of land so we were looking for a long time. Thank you so much Caldwell family for making this such a wonderful Easter. We love you all and already miss you!

Molluscum

Ezra has been having skin problems ever since he was born. Right before Easter Ezra had to get what they call molluscum surgically removed. We have been taking him to the doctors to get them scraped off but it was just to hard on him and especially on Matt and I. So our doctor and I decided it would be better if we put him to sleep and he could get all of them off because he was just covered. They looked like little white heads all over his body it was just so sad. Our nurse was so amazing, Ezra got to bring his favorite bear which was his batman bear and his blanket. She got him batman stickers for him and bandages for his bear so Ezra could put them on the bear. That made him less nervous to leave us, he got distracted by putting the bandages on the bear as they were wheeling him out. After he woke up he was a little sad and a little in pain. So he got some pain killers and after that he was a loopy boy. He is all good now and they have pretty much cleared and went away.

Ever since I have been working with Jetlue we have been flying to San Diego every couple of months or whenever we get the time. We can fly any where for free that Jetblue flies. Our favorite place to go to is San Diego cause that is where Matt's family lives. We love it cause it is practically a free trip, all we have to do is bring Ezra and Cheryl and Gary will let us stay at there house and eat there food. LOL
We just recently went to visit for a few days and get out of the cold weather. We had so much for just being there for a few days. We were able to take Ezra to the San Diego zoo. The whole time we were there he just could not wait to see the monkeys. That is all he was saying "Monkey Monkey." Then we got to the monkeys and he was so excited and just stared at them forever. We had so much fun just relaxing and swiming in the pool. We really needed the break, so thank you so much Cheryl and Gary we love you guys and miss you. Hopefully we can get down there sometime soon again.

Beach Day

While we were down in San Diego for our sealing we were also on vacation. So my family (Barratt side) and I started our day off eating breakfast right on the beach. Then we went to the San Diego Aquarium. The kids loved it especially the gift shop. We also had a beach day at La Jolla Beach, it was so much fun. We swam in the ocean, Matt try to teach my pregnant sister how to skin board! Wish I would have got a picture of that. We also went to the tide pools and found sea slugs, brittle stars, and a huge occtopuss. We had so much and it did not stop there. Once my dad got in town we went to DISNEYLAND. It was so fun to watch the kids just have so much fun. It was one of the best trips we have had in San Diego.

Sorry it has taken me so long to post, our camera broke and then my laptop cord broke. So I have a lot to post. Just about a month and a half ago Matt, Ezra and I were sealed as a eternal family in the San Diego Temple. It was the most spiritual experience of my life. I am so greatful to have an eternal family. We have worked so hard to finally get to this point in our lives. We want to thank everyone for coming and especially my sister Brooke and my brother-in-law Matt for driving so far to be part of this experience it meant so much to me to have both of you there. I love you guys so much.

Today was an amazing Valentines Day! I got to go to the temple and receive my endowments today. It was such an amazing experience and I love everything about the temple it is such a beautiful and sacred place. I have been blessed with so much in my life. I love my amazing husband who has taught me the teachings of our Heavenly Father. I am so blessed to have a husband who is worthy to have the Priestood. I am also thankful for my little one (Ezra). He has taught me so much about life and I could not have asked for a better son. We will be getting sealed next week in the San Diego Temple. I can't wait for that day, I will finally be sealed to my little family for Eternity. What an amazing feeling that will be. I also want to thank everyone who was there to support me today. You know who you are and I love you all so much. I am so blessed to have so much support from my Family and Friends. Thank you!

Camera Broke!!!

I am so sad, my camra broke right before Christmas. So I have been slacking on my blogging. I am hoping we can get it fixed but it looks like we might need a new one. Birthday Party!!!

So I am posting this a little late because Ryan died his hair and wanted to surprise his family back home for Thanksgiving. Ryan's just turned 19 and so we decided to throw him a Batman theme party. It was really fun we had a few friends over and just hung out and ate cake and ice cream. We played some wii games, we got everyone playing Guitar Hero World Tour. I am sure my neighbors were really happy that night. We were singing, playing the drums, playing the guitar and bass. We had a lot of fun and I hope Ryan enjoyed it, which I think he did. Thank you for everyone who came over we had so much fun.

Ezra has a new favorite buddy, Uncle Mike. He love loves Uncle Mike. For those of you who don't know Mike. He is Matts friend and old room mate. We hang out with him and his wife Amber a lot. Ezra was a little scared of Mike at first but now all we hear from Ezra now is "Mikkke, Mikkke, Mikkke. It is so cute how he says his name but every time Mike is around Ezra is stuck at his hip.

Cousin Time

We had the chance to watch Trevan for a week while he was up here with Bo. Ezra had so much fun having a buddy to hang out with everyday. Ezra was a little skeptical and jealous after the second day so he was very clinging to me a lot. I think the kids were getting a little restless cause we were in the house a lot cause it was so cold outside. So we decided to go to reading time at the American Fork Library. It was so much fun, they have theme reading times. We were lucky and were there on Beach Day, the kids loved it. We sang songs, danced, and read books. The book that they read about that day was sea shells. So after the Librarian read the book the kids got to go on an adventure to find sea shells. They found three each, they were so happy and had lots of fun. Ezra now has a cousin buddy and he cant wait to hang out with him again. Thank you so much Arica and Bo for letting us have time with Trev. He is such a pleasure to be around and so polite. We love him so much and we hope to watch himagain sometime soon.

Skating TIme !!!

Matt and Ezra went outside at my moms house to do some skateboarding. Ezra made some friends with the neighborhood boys and they gave him a ride on there go-kart. Ezra loved it he wanted to keep riding it. Specially when Daddy would hold on to the back of it and Chad pulled him so he could skate faster. We had such a fun day skateboarding all day. Ezra is getting really good on the skateboard, Matt will put Ezra on the board and push him down the street. Ezra will go about 100 feet by himself. He loves it every time he see's a skateboard he goes crazy and just wants to jump right on it. So I finally bought him his own skateboard so he does not have to use Daddy's big board. I found one just his size it is so cute and small. When I should him the board he would not let it go, it was really funny.

Snow!!!!!!!!!!

Upon seeing snow Ezra couldn't help but gasp and squeal as only he can. He pointed outside and with even more amazement pointed faster and faster signaling that he wanted to check out what it was that was out there. Brindy proceeded to tell him that it was snow that he was seeing. And he responded with, "shNooooow!!!" So he went outside and without any hesitation grabbed a big handful and, of course, ate it. It has since melted but Ezra is ripe with anticipation, unlike his daddy who could go at least a couple more weeks without it, but oh well it'll be fun while its here.

Ezra's Second Halloween!

I can't believe that it has already been a year. I remember when we bought a pumpkin as big as Ezra and put him inside of it. This year we could not find a pumpkin big enough. Ezra has grown so much and now has the concept down of Trick-or-Treating. It took about two houses to get the idea that he would get candy. He would put his hand in the bowl and grab one candy at a time and threw it in his bag. We had so much and we were so thankful to share the fun time with Grandma Cheryl and Uncle Tyler. They came up to come spend time with us and enjoy Halloween. Thank you so much for all the help while you were here. We love you guys so much and had lots of fun.

Now that it is getting closer to Halloween we decided to go pick out our pumpkins. Ezra was having such a blast going from pumpkin to pumpkin. He wanted to pick all of them up but he was just not quite to strong to pick up the bigger pumpkins. So Ezra picked out his pumpkin, I picked out mine and then Matt picked his out. We had such fun day at the Pumpkin Patch and I know Ezra cant wait to do again.

Newspaper

Ever since Ezra saw his Daddy read a newspaper, Ezra likes to read the newspaper to. Especially in the car when he has to sit there for awhile, Matt will just had him a newspaper or a magazine and he just sits there and reads it.

Ezra's favorite things to do now is go through all his books and read them. He will just sit in the corner and just read out loud, "blah blah blah" really loud. I think he tries to compete with the T.V. Matt and I were just sitting and watching T.V and then we noticed Ezra climbing in his toy box and started to read his books it is his new favorite place to read. It was so cute to see him sit there and be so serious about reading his book.

Ducks, Ducks, Ducks

We decided to take Ezra to Adventure Land Park to go feed some ducks. My brothers and I used to go here all the time when we were young they would fish and I would feed the ducks. When we found the ducks Ezra was excited but then Matt and him went to feed them and they all surrounded him. He was very scared but then warmed up to them when we stayed near Ezra.

San Diego Getaway!

So we decided that Matt and I and Little Ezra needed to get away and have a short break. So we went to San Diego Friday mid-morning to go visit Matt's Family. We had a lot of fun for only being there 'til Sunday. Friday we just hung out in the pool and with family and went out to dinner. Saturday morning Matt wanted to go wakeboarding, which he was really excited to do, cause winter is coming. So all of us got up bright and early to go wakeboarding. (Thanks Gary for getting up extra early to get the boat ready for all of us late sleepers.) Then we got to visit with Ezra's Great-Grandparents, Grandma and Grandpa Q. We went out to lunch with them, Matt's parents, and Tyler (Matt's little brother). Then we came back to the house to visit and hang out. That night I wanted to do something fun for Ezra, so we went to Nickle City and played arcade games. Ezra loved it, his favorite game was the skee ball game. He also loved to pull the tickets out. Sunday was a crazy day cause we were flying home at 1:15 in the afternoon and if any of you don't know I work for Jetblue Airways. So we fly for free but we fly standby, we have to call in four hours before the departing time to get listed and it is first come first serve. So if you call first you are first on the list to get on the plane. Well in our situation we were 17 and 18 on the list with only 13 seats available. So to make a long story short, some people did not show up and we got on the plane. We were so happy cause we were so stressed that we were not going to get on the flight. We are so lucky we did cause Matt had a test and Ezra had a Doctors appointment the next day. We made with time to spare overall it was a fun trip.

The AST Dew Tour was in Salt Lake City this past weekend. We decided to go on Saturday, August 13th. We got to see three events: the Freestyle Motorcross finals, the BMX Park quarterfinals, and Skateboard Park finals. We also got to watch a practice session of Skateboard Vert with all the legends. From Bob Burnquist to Andy MacDonald, they were all there practicing. It was rad to see them in a non-competition setting, just having fun. Ezra loved the whole thing, he was especially glued on all the motorcycles, he thought it was so cool. Everytime a bike would jump he would go, "ooooooooh." It was really funny to watch him. We also got to bring Rylan, Ezras buddy, our five- year-old neighbor. He also liked the motorcross the most. We also met one of skateboardings legends, Bucky Lasek, who we also saw in the Skate Vert practice session. Ezra was uncharacteristically not shy at all and gave him a big smile and a high five. Bucky was really nice and signed Ezra's tummy and gave us a signed poster. It was a fun day overall but when it was over we were glad to leave the crowds, it was the highest attendance at any Dew Tour event ever. So needless to say, it was jam packed with people the whole time. But still, it was a great day of extreme sports fun!!!

Utah State Fair

Today we went to the Utah State Fair In Salt Lake City with GiGi and PaPa. Ezra had so much fun, he was able to feed the goats, pet the cow and pigs. Ezra got his own cotton candy and got very very sticky of course. Matt and I went into this freak show type thing where we got to see a cow with two face and two legs growing outside of his back. It was so gross I felt so bad for these animals. We also saw snakes with two heads and a bunch of pigs with either double face features or had an elephant trump. We did not take Ezra in there it was to crazy. We were able to see the reptile show, It was amazing and Ezra got to hold bald python. He was a little weired out but he loved the show and wanted to touch every reptile there. We had so much fun and Thank you GiGi and PaPa for taking us we love you!!!

NEW TO BLOGGER

So were heard that this is the new thing and that everyone is doing this to keep in touch now. Which is a very good idea 'cause our whole family is spread out. So to keep everyone up to date on what our family has been up to, we'll post as often as we can.
Matt has been attending UVSC which is now UVU. We are totally excited about that, cause now it will look better on his applications for Law School. He's starting to apply now so he just quit his job at Power Line Industries to go to school full time. Matt and his friend Mike are starting up a fall job to make some extra cash to get through school. So, if you know anyone who needs there lawn aerated just give him a call.
Ezra is now 15 months and getting bigger each and every day. He still does not have the passion to learn how to walk. I mean who would when mom carries him around all day and he can crawl 20 mph, who would give that up? He is so funny and he keeps Matt and I laughing everyday. He loves to make messes, he is a master at that, especially with food. Ezra l0ves to be with his daddy all day and just play and play and play...
I have just been like any other mother and have been, busy, busy and busy. I am taking a break from school this semester but I will enroll in UVU, with Matt, and hopefully getting in the nursing program in the next year. I am really excited to keep in contact with my family on this I wish I would of heard about it sooner.

We recently just got back from Mexico in August on a Dayley Family trip. We are so grateful for the great example of Matt's grandparents. They are such amazing people, they took the whole Dayley family To Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We had such an amazing time, while we were there. Ezra was living the life drinking Pina Coladas everyday just sittin' on the beach soaking in all the sun. We love you Grandma and Grandpa Dayley Thank you for all that you do!!!
